The BLOGGER Site!

Once your blogger site has been set up you need to begin making entries onto it, including the following;

1. Introduction

2. 1-4 shots from tasks set...

  • Light Task: Create an image at several times of the day, the image must be of the same object, building etc..one in the morning, one around midday, one late afternoon and one at night.
  • Aperture Control Task: Four images, one showing a fast shutter speed, one showing a slow shutter speed, one showing narrow depth of field and one showing wide depth of field.
  • Composition Task: Present one image for each element of composition (i.e. lines, texture, colour, rule of thirds etc...)

Evaluate how well you have done, reflect back on what went well, or badly, and how you would improve if you were to reshoot. Also include full range of kit used and how well your selection suited your subject.

5. Research:Research of the photographers in your chosen area! Use images that you like and inspire you and compare and contrast your own work to your research.

There are 12 qualifications at Level 1, making it easy to find one that meets your needs. There are 7 short Awards that each cover 1 specific aspect of photography. There are also 5 Certificates in Specialist Photography that give you a broader set of skills in a particular kind of photo imaging.

Awards

For these 7 Awards, you'll take 1-3 units that cover the area you'll be certified in:

Award in Photography
Award in Photo Image Capture and Manipulation
Award in Specialist Image Capture
Award in Image Capture
Award in Digital Image Manipulation
Award in Darkroom Printing
Award in Photo Image Presentation.

For the Award in Specialist Image Capture, you'll choose 1 unit that covers the particular kind of specialist photography you're interested in - landscape, building, close-up, people or events.
Certificates

There are 5 Certificates in Specialist Photography, each covering a different area:

landscape
building
close-up
people
events.

Each Certificate has 2 core units - 1 covering the basics of your chosen style of photography and 1 covering the presentation of photo images.

You also choose 1 optional unit from:

Digital image manipulation
Darkroom printing.
